How My Milea started!

I'm Marieke, 31 years old, married to Robbert, and mom to Milan and Leah. And like so many things in life, My Milea actually started with something that wasn't fun at all: my salaried job quitting.

Suddenly, I had time and space to think. Milan was starting school for the first time, and I realized how important it was to be there for him when he came home. But I also felt: I want to do something that's mine. Something creative, something made with love, something that suits me. I renovated Milan's first kitchen all by myself four years ago. Later, Leah's dollhouse, which I'd picked up secondhand, followed. It was actually destined for the dump, but with love, attention, and an eye for detail, she created a little palace. And then I thought: how wonderful would it be if more parents could do this—but without it taking them days? No messy paint jobs or endless crafting. Just quick, easy, and stylish.

This is how My Milea came into being – named after Milan and Leah, because they are the reason I started doing this.
